Youth Camps

An intensive adventure for youth, this camp is one that teaches from the ground up. Our adventures are geared towards encouraging our riders to develop the following skills: Relationship Building with their Horse, Problem Solving and Dealing with Fear, Barn and Stable Management. All Youth Campers get a horse of their own for the week and will learn both in the barn and on horseback.

We host three types of camp:

Shortstuff Camp - Ages 8-11 of All Levels

Too young for Adventure Camp? A special day camp designed specifically for the younger age group who want an immersive horse experience. Shortstuff Campers spend the day feeding and caring for the horses, grooming, learning how to ready their horses, learning how to ride and playing games.

Youth Adventure Camp - Ages 10-17 of All Levels

An intensive adventure for youth, this camp is one that focus on fun and adventures from the ground up. Our adventures are geared towards encouraging our riders to develop the following skills: Relationship Building with their Horse, Problem Solving, Pushing Boundaries, Barn and Stable Management.

If you're looking for FUN, this is the camp for you!

Technical Pro Camp - Ages 12-17 of Intermediate and Advanced Level

Our Pro program is designed for regularly riding youth who are ready to go to the next level. Campers in this program are expected to already have barn management, horse handling and groundwork skills. Pros are comfortable cantering in the arena and on trail and are honing their deeper theoretical knowledge of riding.

Campers in the Pro Camp will have a choice of two tracks of preparation: Endurance Racing and Arena Showmanship. All Pro Campers will partake in an intensive lesson in the arena, as well as a lesson or lecture on riding form, biomechanics, nutrition & health, teaching pedagogy, and other various topics.

Campers are encouraged to attend the following competitions prior and after camp:

  • CDCT Schooling Show
    Sunday, August 12
    Oxley Equestrian Center, Ithaca NY
    The Cayuga Dressage and Combined Training Association is hosting a schooling show for both English Dressage, Western Dressage and Prix Caprilli (patterned jumping).

  • Abi-Khan+ Challenge Endurance Race
    August 16-19 (event on 18th)
    Ohio
    This 15 or 30 Mile Endurance Race has gorgeous trails through a river valley park in Ohio.


Cancellation policy Cancellation with full refund is allowed until 1 week before the start of camp.
After then, refund is only given if we are able to fill the place in the camp session.
