Otter Creek is the premiere horse back riding trail system in NY State. Join us as we stay in luxury cabins and explore the trails on horseback!
Located at the North Eastern portion of the Adirondack Mountains, the entire trail system is a series of sandy, wooded trails between Otter Creek and the Independence River, tributaries to the Black River. It's a really beautiful trail system and has a little bit of everything: marsh, rocks, meadow, overlooks and woodlands. Basing at the cabins we have access to miles and miles of trails to ride.
For the Recreational EquiTravel Trip we rent a luxury cabin at the north end of the trail system that is only a ½ mile ride out the door to some of the most beautiful sandy trails.
For the Endurance Trekking Trip we rent Val McCloskey's cabin which is more centrally located and directly on the trail heads giving endurance riders significantly more instant access to milage options.
Each day we have the option of packing a lunch and going on a long trek, or taking shorter trips returning to the cabin for our meals. Each horse has their own stall and paddock, making it possible for people to easily and safely (for the horse) sit out any ride to just enjoy the cabin.

Recreational Trip: 4 Riders, $1600 per rider

PRICE: $400 per day at Abbey Lane and $362.50 at Val McCloskey's Cabin
You must attend entire length designated for each trip.
- Please make sure that you purchase THE RIGHT PASS PACKAGE for the appropriate length of the trip you are signing up for.
- When possible please pay by check or cash to save us the credit card.
- Individual Days can be purchased with permission at $500 per day
NUMBER OF RIDERS: Each Vacation is limited to 4 riders at Abbey Lane and 3 riders at Val McCloskey's Cabin.
